Equipment picked for salt air, 76-degree dew points and FPL's rebate list
Cook's is a Lennox dealer headquartered on Fairmont Lane. What follows is the equipment we actually put in Palm Coast homes, and why those models and not others.

What the Lennox line looks like from Palm Coast
A product catalog is only useful once it’s been filtered through the place it will live. In Palm Coast that filter is specific: nine months of cooling, summer humidity that lives above 80 percent, salt air along 23 miles of saltwater canals and the Intracoastal, lightning most summer afternoons, and a utility, FPL, that pays an instant rebate for high-efficiency equipment installed by a participating contractor.
So the equipment on the tiles below is not the entire Lennox catalog. It’s the part of it we specify for homes here: air conditioners and heat pumps with corrosion-resistant coil options for waterfront lots, variable-speed air handlers that pull humidity out of a 2006 Lehigh Woods two-story without overcooling it, zoning for the larger custom homes in Grand Haven and Palm Coast Plantation, mini-splits for additions, and the Healthy Climate air quality pieces that fight the mold our September rains encourage.
How we match equipment to a house
- Measure, don’t assume. The nameplate on a 2005 builder-grade unit tells us what the builder bought in a hurry, not what the house needs. We size from the house itself.
- Match the lot. A condenser in the Hammock or on a C-Section canal gets a coated coil and a placement away from the salt side. One in Quail Hollow may not need it.
- Clear the rebate line. If the FPL Residential HVAC Program rebate is available, we show which models qualify and what that does to the total; the federal tax credit no longer figures in, having lapsed for installs after 2025.
- Pair the air handler. Mismatched indoor and outdoor units are the most common thing we find on resale homes. A matched Lennox set is quieter, drier and warrantied as a system.
Energy and solar-ready options
Cook’s installs ENERGY STAR equipment and is certified to install solar-compatible air conditioning systems, which matters to the growing number of Palm Coast rooftops with panels. Geothermal is also available for the acreage lots west of town where there’s room for a loop.

Equipment questions from Palm Coast buyers
Why Lennox rather than another brand?
Because we’re a Lennox dealer, which means factory training, direct parts access and the ability to register and honor the warranty ourselves. Lennox also offers coil options suited to coastal corrosion and models that clear FPL’s efficiency bar, both of which matter in this city.
What's the difference between the Healthy Climate and Ultimate Comfort lines?
Healthy Climate is the air quality family: filtration, purification, humidity control and ventilation that attach to a system. Ultimate Comfort System is the top-tier matched set of outdoor unit, air handler and smart thermostat built to run together. Many Palm Coast installs use pieces of both.
Is a mini-split a real option for a Palm Coast addition or garage?
Yes, and it’s often the right one. A Florida room added onto a Palm Harbor home, a converted garage in Indian Trails or a detached workshop in Seminole Woods can get its own ductless head without overloading the main system.
