What a monthly payment buys you here

Palm Coast runs its air conditioning for roughly nine months, with July dew points in the mid-70s and humidity that lives between 80 and 95 percent. In that climate a system from the 2004-to-2007 building boom is now 18 to 22 years old, and its efficiency has been sliding for years. Replacing it is not a luxury upgrade; it is choosing when the replacement happens rather than letting a compressor choose for you in August.

Financing exists so that choice is available before the failure. Cook’s offers financing with low monthly payments on new high-efficiency systems. You pick the equipment with Jerry, the application is handled at the kitchen table or over the phone, and the install is scheduled the same way as any cash job.

Three things that pull the total down

Manufacturer and dealer promotions. The federal 25C tax credit is no longer part of this math; it ended for equipment placed in service after December 31, 2025. What takes its place is whatever Lennox and Cook’s have running when you buy: a seasonal rebate, a bonus-equipment offer or a deferred-interest window. [[CONFIRM WITH JERRY: what is current]]

The FPL instant rebate. Florida Power & Light serves every address in Flagler County, and its Residential HVAC Program pays an instant rebate on qualifying high-efficiency systems installed by a participating independent contractor. It’s limited to one per system every two years, so timing a replacement matters.

Lower operating cost. A properly sized modern system pulls less current on every one of those humid afternoons. Over a Palm Coast cooling season that adds up to real money, and it continues every year the system runs.

How the conversation actually goes

  1. We visit the house. Sizing depends on square footage, orientation, attic insulation, window exposure and ductwork, and a 1980s Palm Harbor block home and a 2006 Lehigh Woods two-story need different answers.
  2. You get a written proposal with equipment options, and we flag which ones qualify for the credit and the rebate.
  3. If financing helps, we start the application on the spot. Approval decisions are usually quick.
  4. The install is scheduled. There is no after-hours or weekend premium on installation at Cook’s.

What we won’t do

We won’t publish a lender’s name, an interest rate or a term length on this page, because those change and because the real numbers belong on a proposal with your name on it, not on a web page. We won’t bury fees in a payment. And we won’t push financing on a repair that should simply be a repair.

Money questions, answered straight

Can I finance a repair, or only a whole new system?

Our financing is built around new high-efficiency equipment. Large repairs on an old unit are usually the moment to compare the two side by side, and we’ll show both numbers so the choice is yours.

I own a second home in Palm Coast but live up north. Can I still apply?

Yes. Plenty of our Hammock Dunes and Grand Haven customers are seasonal, and the application doesn’t require you to be standing in the house. We’ll coordinate the install with whoever has a key.

Does the FPL rebate come off my invoice or show up later?

The FPL Residential HVAC Program rebate is an instant one, applied through the participating contractor at the time of the qualifying install rather than mailed to you months afterward. One rebate per system every two years, and the equipment has to meet FPL’s efficiency standard.

Will a higher-efficiency unit actually lower my bill in this climate?

In a house where the AC runs from March to November, yes, and the gap widens the longer the season. The exact savings depend on your ductwork, insulation and thermostat habits, which is why we look before we quote.
